Media Expertise I have extensive media experience, having written articles for, and been interviewed by journalists from local, national and international print and broadcast outlets, including: BBC News, Al Jazeera, Russia Today, Channel News Asia, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Financial Times, Le Monde Diplomatique, The Australian, Associated Press, The Jakarta Post, The Irrawaddy, MalaysiaKini, Voice of Russia, Sputnik Radio, Ireland’s Talk Radio, and London’s Colourful Radio. I was also a regular guest on Monocle 24 radio for three years. For examples, you can see an op-ed I wrote for The Australian; TV appearances on the BBC and Al Jazeera, and a recent radio appearance on Monocle 24. Most of my appearances are archived on my blog here, and articles I have written are archived here. The kind of areas I am asked to speak or write about have included: - Domestic politics, political economy and international relations in Southeast Asia and the Asia- Pacific. Past topics have included Thailand, Myanmar (Burma), Cambodia, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, China, etc.   - International intervention, including state-building interventions, humanitarian intervention and international economic sanctions. - Security issues, including cross-border conflicts and non-traditional security issues (e.g. pandemic diseases, transboundary pollution, transnational crime). - Other topics have included British domestic and foreign policy, environmentalism and economic development, animal research and British higher education. The quickest way for journalists to contact me is probably by tweeting @DrLeeJones and emailing (l.c.jones[at]qmul.ac.uk).
