I bought a copy on eBay eventually. I think it cost me about £20-£30.

I wouldn't be happy simply copying and sending the game to you. I would suggest emailing Bertell Ollmann and seeing what he says.

Greetings from Russia!

It`s very interesting to play this game, especially in aspect of classwar`vision by people of the West during coldwar when this game was created. Also playing must be fun^)

But the problem lies in the fact that those rare instances that appear in the e-bay immediately bought up by collectors of board games and the price of the game due to this demand are quite large. Maybe someone has it? We gladly would have accepted it as a gift, or exchanged for matrioshkas and balalaikas. Just joke. May be it`s possible for you to scan or photograph the entire game (with all the details and cards) and send to the e-mail address orwell ( at ) 404team.org if you had it?

Maybe you're familiar with those who have it?
We would be very grateful for your help! Thanks in advance!

The strength will shift in favor of the Red Shirts as violence continues to deepen. The Red Shirts represent a populist movement. Currently, the protestors who are getting killed belong to the Red Shirts, who will win public sympathy. Furthermore, the Thai economy will be harmed by the protests, which will lead to further public discontent for the current government.

Excellent summary and useful consideration/analysis.

One caveat - what you cite as "Katthiya said yesterday....." is thus far only a claim in The Nation - not best known for their adherence to truthful reporting. In fact, their claim goes considerably further than you cite: "He admitted that the 'unknown force' or 'Ronin warriors' fired M79 grenades at troops and one M79 grenade landed at the tent of the commander of the operation, causing the troops to have no commander." That amounts to saying that he volunteered the information that he's responsible for the death of his brother officer Colonel Romklao - not to mention the wounding of a fellow Major-General. That's an even bigger taboo in the RTA than one would imagine anywhere else.....

While, predictably, The Nation's claim has been widely picked up and repeated elsewhere, there is still no corroboration; nor has what would surely be viewed as a sensationally important factor (if true) been developed or reported on further - not by The Nation or anyone else. That seems strange.....
